Rollei Hy6: color design update

There was some blame on color design of new Rollei Hy6 when it was announced

couple of months back at Photokina 2006. Here you are few images of this camera

Great pics! I thought it was going to have the Sinar badge on it though. I was about to write the check when I realized it would OD my checking account by about $30K USD or more<g>.

Wow, that is much better than before! The red and grey before looked like a kids toy (laser

tag to be specific). That said, the camera is going to be great. I had a chance to check out the

prototype (a mock up) at Photo Plus a few weeks ago and the ergonomics feel excellent. The

grip feels nice.

Lovely. So the PQ lenses sitting in the closet will have a home, finally. The smaller size is what

appeals to me. The look is classy and understated, yet fun too. And I notice (I think) a film

back with an adapter plate, no?

<br>Yes, you are right! The third picture from the top shows Rollei Hy6 with 4.5x6 film magazine from the 6008 integral line. A new direct driven magazine for Hy6 currently is under construction.

<br>By the way, on the accessory side, you can use all the accessories of the 6000 system with Hy6. The exception is the standard magazine 6x6, Polaroid magazine, release cables, NiCad-battery, charger and interchangeable finders. Soon Rollei will make a new 90? prism finder, very stylish and modern.
