ronald_wills
Maybe there is some confusion between fine grain and fine art?

john_jovic
Always been a big fan of the old Plus X. I believe it's no longer the same formula though. Of Trix and HP5 I'd choose HP5 with Ilfotech LC21 (the standard Ilford liquid developer). It's been a couple of years since I've even used B+W. Damn digital... fotografz
Tri-X. A freezer full plus a closet full of dry chemicals and the film companies can do whatever they want to.

al_kaplan1
I wouldn't mind if Kodak would start marketing Eastman XT Pan (ISO40) again, maybe even in 36 exp. cassettes instead of just bulk rolls, but that's too slow for an all around film. You can still buy long rolls of Eastman Double-X Negative (ISO 250)but pre-loaded cassettes would be nice too, and it'd cover me for 95% of what I need. waynechunlee
Tri-X is my main film: Usually EI=250, occasionally at 1600, processed in Rodinal and Diafine, respectively. You said to forget about developer, but it's a big deal for me. I could probably use it exclusively, but sometimes I'll shoot TMX, TMZ, FP4 or Plus-X. I like its look and versatility. I hope Kodak doesn't kill it off.<div></div>
