Tokina New lenses

Anyone noticed this small anouncement of Tokina?

I don't know if it is for real - I haven't found anything else on the

net. If the announced 16-50/2.8 has the same quality as their 12-24/4

I should consider one.

It's offical from Tokina Japan, and it's real. In fact, 4 zooms are being used by Pentax too and 2 are already been made in the DA series. The 2.8 zooms will come later this year.

I'm glad a waited on the 12-24. I have the 20-35 and the 10-17 might be the perfect compliment on a D200.

Take in account that the 10-17/3.5-4.5 is a FISHEYE-zoom.

So now Sigma has an 18-50/2.8, Tamron a 17-50/2.8, and Tokina a

16-50/2.8! The most interesting lens in this new DX (small-circle)

lineup is the 50-135/2.8 -- nothing like it anywhere.

What is the meaning of fisheye zoom? Does it mean it is always in fisheye mode? I have a 17-55/2.8 zoom so 10-17 would be perfect range for me. I was wondering if I should go with the Tokina 12-24 zoom, or wait for this 10-17 fisheye zoom. <a href="www.yiphoto.com">Yi</a>

does any of you know the new tokina 28-70 f2.8 and how different is from nikon 28-70 or 18-70??

 

Do u think is worth to change nikon 18-70 with tokina 28-70??
