ibcrewin
I developed my second roll of bw film (tmax 400) and my negatives have a section that looks like I messed something up.. So my question to you, oh sages of bw film processing, is what I do wrong? My initial guess is a light leak. BTW, I was using a lubitel 2. What say you?<div></div>
ibcrewin
I forgot to add that I don't have a film scanner. So I taped the negatives sleeve to the window and took a picture of the neg. with my dslr. Then inverted the colors in paint.
titrisol
Those look like surge marks of developer. Maybe you didn't have enough, it foamed or you agitated too vigorously?
scott_walton2
I don't think they are light leaks because you would see the effect in the edges also... more than you do. Surge marks or your reels still had chemicals on them from the previous session. A little hypo clear will do that.
stephen hazelton
Could it be where film was touching due to not being in the reel properly?
joename
The spots are likely from drying with either bubbles or something like that. The streaks are from uneven development, your agitation method is not working out. What is your development method <in details>
chris_waller
Uneven development. After pouring in the dev invert the tank four times in the first 30 seconds, then once every 30 seconds after that. Be precise about agitation. What type of tank do you use?
