rui_alves_da_silva
Does anyone have something to say about this look? (please check this site) http://www.pirelli.com/en_42/this_is_pirelli/communication/calendar/2005/vote_2005.jhtml?_requestid=5610 Combo film and development used. Is just about curiosity. daniel_janssen
The 2005 was shot by Patrick Demarchelier on Polaroid instant film. He may wel have used his Litman 4x5 rangefinder for this shoot. Daniel
rui_alves_da_silva
Hello Daniel, He probably used polaroid, but not litman, as can be seen on making of film. Regards, Rui

kram
He's certainly a great photographer but this work doesn't show it. Regardless of what he used, I really don't see anything special about the work. Just MHO. :-)
lex_jenkins
I suspect the reproduction for the web is lacking the nuances of the originals. These little JPEGs just look murky. I don't see anything that couldn't be done with conventional b&w processes, or even color film or digital captures converted to monochrome. That's the problem with small photos online - there's seldom any way to really evaluate anything about the qualities of film, processing or printing. lex_jenkins
Nope, we can't accomodate copyrighted photos belonging to other photographers. All we can do is provide links to sites where those photos can be seen.
