The medium is the message means that the previous technology provides the material for

the current one. So, film having come before television, for instance, the content of

television is movies. The current technology absorbs the technology previous to it and

uses it as its content. The content of television, for instance, is movies. I do not think he

meant individual movies, but movies as an idea. He thought we are stuck with the

The goverments have been replaced by economical interest, the money controls goverments nowdays and presidents are just puppets of these interests.
