ratings after request for critique

I have noticed over the last few days that it is taking over 12 hours

after an image is posted before it receives any ratings. Prior to

this week, it would seem that any image posted (no matter how good,

mediocre, or bad) would receive 3-5 ratings very quickly and then take

more time to receive additional ratings. I am talking primarily about

my own postings. Has there been a change?

This is an interesting observation. I recently posted <b><a href=http://www.photo.net/photo/4148695>this picture</b></a> for critique in the <i>'Street'</i> category. Just before it disappeared from the 16 most recently posted images, I went through those images to see which had ratings and which did not. There were only 2 photographs that had received ratings, one of which was mine.

Right. This image was submitted yesterday, 24-Feb-06 at 13:53 (PN clock, about 12 hours ago), and no ratings yet:

I cant say it happened to me in the way you describe David, but ratings do seem to take longer to appear. I might be wrong but sometime ago a photo would reach 10 ratings in some hours and now it takes more time. I think this is more true on weekends. Again I might be wrong, but it is what it seems like to me.
