roger_hicks1
Does anyone know if Grant Haist is (a) well and (b) at home to visitors? I'd love to interview him for Shutterbug magazine (and maybe others, and buy a copy of his book) if he is indeed in Florida as I last heard. Cheers, Roger (www.rogerandfrances.com)
jordan_w.
Hopefully Ron Mowrey will see your post. Ron is a friend of Grant Haist's from their Kodak days. (IIRC.)

Do a search on threads here on PN--there is a locked one that you might want to read.
lex_jenkins
Jon, I'm not sure what the basis is for your statement but in the following thread: http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=008Nhx Ron wrote: "...Grant Haist, a dear friend of mine..." without a hint of irony or sarcasm. While it's possible that Mr. Mowrey and Mr. Haist don't agree on every technical matter I can't recall anything said in these forums to indicate they are less than friends. skygzr
The thread also mentioned that Haist suffered a stroke in 2003 and has been unable to work.
jordan_w.
Indeed, the thread specifically describes Ron and Grant working in the darkroom together, frequent visits, etc. Roger, you can look up Ron's e-mail address from the thread that Lex linked to. kirk_keyes
I'm sure Ron will chime in here about this, but I'm certain they are friends. Kirk
kirk_keyes
I guess I should have said I know they are friends.
stefan heymann
I had a short e-mail conversation with Bill Troop in 2001. He gave me an address of Haist in Okemos (MI) then. Maybe he knows where you can find him now?
