paul -
There is an advertiser, "StreetPrices", in the "Support photo.net" area, which shows how much popular items are currently selling for from various vendors.<p>Sure, that site's presence in that area means they somehow supports photo.net. However, they feature links to some of the known-to-be-less-than-reputable vendors like infinityphoto.com, making the otherwise "safe" advertisers in the "Support photo.net" area seem less safe/credible. Street Prices' presence is going to make it difficult (for me, anyway)to steer buyers to the "Support photo.net" area.
keith turrill
Before I buy anything from an online merchant, I check the whois background data for the website, confirm a street address, and then do a BBB check. The crooks are mixed in with reputable merchants everywhere. The one merchant that I am most cautious of is located in Bentonville, AR.
