emaxxman
I don't know of this has been suggested before or not. On the screen where you type in your replies, can you include (outside of the edit box of course) a trail of the previous postings. If you're typing a long reply, it makes it easier to review what you're replying to. I've had to, in the past, click the browser's back button, to re-read the postings and make sure I'm answering all the points of the original posting. vivek iyer
"..a trail of the previous postings." Oh, oh! Are you supposed to do that?
martin.
Before you go to the reply box; open up a second browser window, copy and paste the address line so you have a duplicate of the thread. Then press the reply button on the original window, you can easily refer back to the original thread in the second window while writing your comment. pjmeade
Just press ctrl+N and the same page will open up in the new window. I expect it's command+N for a mac
jpb
As someone intimate with web navigation, I have tried the opening a new window and toggling back and forth trick, however, I still agree with Thang that, since we are not always responding to the first of all the posts in a given thread, it would be useful to list the entire thread with the response submission form. It certainly couldn't make things harder for the respondent, and not everyone is astute at toggling between windows.
