ron_black2
Can anyone tell me where I am going wrong I processed 2 films both 120, 1 ilford delta 3200 , 1 ilford hp4, on 3200 the only the last 7 frames showed an image on the hp4 only the last6 frames showed images the images were good, and the blanks showed frame nos etc. Ps all with Bronica Etrsi. michaelging
Ron, Its not a developing problem. I do not have this camera , but it seems to me to be a loading problem. Does the camera think you are using 220 film?
paul_hoyt
Ron, It may not be a processing problem. Your film back may be loading the film to the middle of the roll. Were the last 7 frames the last 7 exposures or were they the first 7 exposures? If you had loaded the film incorrectly for development, some of the image would have developed. It sounds like no exposure on the first half of the roll; and with two rolls failing to expose, I would look at film loading for exposing rather than developing. Rob F.
Or it could be an exposure problem. Ilford HP4 is an old film, now replaced by HP5. These are rated at ISO 400. First of all, did you mean HP4 or FP4, which is an ISO 125 film. If you shot FP4 at 3200, those 7 frames may have been grossly underexposed--by almost 5 stops. Were the last 5--the good ones--of a different subject, better lighted, and/or for some reason taken with more generous exposure?
Rob F.
I should have said, the last 6 frames for the slower film. Of course, the blank frames on the first part of the Delta 3200 film would still have to be explained. But it would be good to know which film you used--HP5 or FP4. ron_black2
Thanks for all your help guys the film was actually FP4plus not hp4 and Delta 3200pro. It was the last 7 eposures on both rolls that came out fine . I think it may be a problem with loading as sugested , i have numbered all my 120 backs as a precaution . Thanks again Ron Black
glen peterson
If the batteries were bad on your ETRSi, you might have been shooting at 1/500 sec. and have very under exposed film.
