dmitry_beliakov
Mark: I had similar problem. Try to find Kaiser cable release. They are not as expensive as Hassey's, and work simple. They also got two "tails", each you screw into the "pinhole" under lense and work like with a syringe.
q.g._de_bakker
Hasselblads do not need a special cabe release, so almost* any standard thing will do. Are there photostores that do not sell standard cable releases?
(* "Almost", because there are some rather badly made ones for sale too.) berg_na
There's a huge selection of cable releases available at B&H. stephen_kruft
Right - as the other answers say, the 500CM uses standard cable releases. The only exception I know is that not all cable releases will fit into the Hasselblad accessory grip if you break or lose the one that came with it. ed_skibeki
As usual, Q.G. parts the clouds & lets in the light.... I would only add that if using a bellows shade, most standard cable release designs have a hard time turning the sharp corner to clear the rear of the bellows. That's why there is an "angled" attachment available...
