jennifer_edwards1
Hi I need to get a new camera for DH, he wants one of those little guys to slip into his pocket, with a big LCD. I would like it to have full manual control features too! Which is a good one, I like the Casio Exilim EXZ750 (7MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom) so far. Any others? Thanks! godfrey
Might be a little larger than you're looking for, but I'm very enthusiastic about the Panasonic DMC-LX1. Godfrey

jim_doty
Jennifer: I'm going to steal a list from my blog (sensor size, zoom range): Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P200 (7 mp sensor, 3x zoom) Canon PowerShot A620 (7 mp, 4x) Canon PowerShot S80 (8 mp, 3.6x) Sony Cyber-shot DSC V3 (7 mp, 4x) Canon PowerShot G6 (7 mp, 4x) Canon PowerShot S2 IS (5mp, 12x) Sony Cyber-shot DSC H1 (5mp 12x) Panosonic Lumix DMC-FZ5 (5 mp, 12x) Sony Cyber-shot DSC R1 (10 mp CMOS sensor, 7x) These are all of the cameras that received a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating (the highest) from DP Review in the last 12 months. They are listed in order of approximate size. If you want something on the small side, choose something toward the top of the list. Jim

shahid_khan
If you are looking at Casio EX-Z750, you might want to read this long blog post. It seems it's an excellent camera loaded with features, and with many manual controls, but turns out some people got lemons. So easy return/refund should be a criteria if you want to buy it.(Think Costco!)
bernard_frank
The Fuji F11 will be released pretty soon. If it's anything like the F10, with the Super CCD, apparently it'll have almost no noise up to 1600 ISO, almost instant reaction (no shutter lag), incredible battery life, great LCD, and manual, aperture and shutter priority modes. Tiny, too. But it might be sold only in Japan.
andrew_hall1
The F11 has been available in Japan, UK and eBay for some time now - see Dec 6 post.
mark_man
The F11 is indeed now in stock at Jessops in the UK. If the noise performance is the same as the F10 (which it should be), it is very impressive up to ISO 800. At 1600 there is definitely noticeable noise, but not severe. If you can do without the manual controls, the F10 is a great camera!
