renee_marie
I saw a post here a while back about a NY photographer that only uses one light. He has done the cover of TIMES as well as high profile people like the President. I wanted to view his website again but I can't find that post or his name! Anyone know who he is? Thanks, Renee
ellis_vener_photography
Platon? Albert Watson? Irving Penn? Richard Avedon? Mark Seliger? Annie Leibowitz? Gregory Heisler? Dan Winters has been known to use just one light too.

Phil_Light
I know for sure that Francesco Scavullo utilizes a single softened (through the white umbrella) main light and that is all! To my knowledge these fashion photographer's; Maureen Lambrey, Klaus Luka, and Patrick DeMarchelier, are using single light sources sometimes a softened (soft-box) containing multiple flash heads. The closer they get with the main lights, the more critical exposure is, even softened.
