Circular polarizers!

i am currently searching for a tiffen circular polarizer for the 17-

70mm Lens that would come with my nikon d70s camera. However, during

searching i cam across two circular polarizing filters:

1. Tiffen 67mm Circular Polarizing Glass Filter - Wide-Angle .

However, the problem with this is that it doesnt have a front thread

so i cant attach any filters on top of it.

2.Tiffen 67mm Circular Polarizing Glass Filter . However, it doesnt

say that if this is for wide angel or not.

However, i like shooting landscapes with polarizers almost always.

Please let me know if the second filter would work fine on the wide

angle range of the Nikon afs DX 17-70mm lens that comes with that

d70s or not (afraid it would produce vignetting). If anyone has info

on that please let me know.

Thanks everyone!

Just wondering, what kind of filter would you want to put on top of a CP filter and for what purpose?

If you're talking about the Cokin type of ND Grad, I find two little pieces of gaffer's tape to work better than their standard holder. Stick the tape on the back of the filter case and it's there when you need it.

I've taken shots with a filter like this and a 20mm lens (35mm) on an angle (horizon at about 30 degrees) and it's the only way to not get any vignetting. One less thing to carry, too.

Usually I wouldn't use two filters either, but if you can use the standard with front filter threads then you have that option if you ever need it (although adding one more filter might be just enough to cause vignetting!).

I had the Tiffen and sold it. It was not sufficiently color neutral but cast a little bit of a brownish tint over all the photos. It was not the "warming circ pol" it was their standard one. I am very happy with the Hoya HMC Pro1, which is slim and does offer threads though I never put anything in from of the PL.
