olliesteiner
I have a single Versalight 200 studio strobe with umbrella reflector. I've used it with my M6TTL a number of times, metering with anincident flash meter. I wonder if there is some combination of cordsand modules that would enable me to control the strobe using the TTLmetering on the camera.
ellis_vener_photography
Not possible for a simple reason: The Versalights have no provision for TTL input.
andrew1
No studio strobe on the market uses TTL control from any camera.

I'm content with the results of incident flash metering, but I just assumed that it would be possible, and perhaps interesting, to try TTL strobe control. Thanks Ellis and Andrew. stuart_richardson
Perhaps it is a bit different, but I know several cameras can trigger a pre-flash of the strobes and determine exposure based on that flash through the lens. Of the cameras I have worked with, the Leica R9, Canon T90 and Contax 645 all have a provision for this. Do the Canon/Nikon bodies do this as well? I imagine they must if Leica has gotten around to implementing it...
