john mcduffie
I recently had a woman contact me about taking some photos of her. She wants them for her website and she'll be nude in them. I'm not sure what she plans on doing in the photos. Where would get the film processed at?
keith_rocke1
Nude photos (fine art/artistic) may not be a problem... to have processed... other than having other eyes review your material. If the net results happen to be more contorversial, you run the risk of offending others. Therefore, in the latter case, shoot digital and stay away from any (potential) negative situations. James G. Dainis
Ask her what she plans on doing in the photo shoot. The same pro lab that handles your wedding photos should have no problem with nude photos. If they border on porn, ask your lab if they have any issues concerning that. James G. justthings
I think if you find a reputable 'pro' lab that you shouldn't have problems. Recently in a conversation I had with the folks at my lab they commented about a client who regularly has them process 'internet quality'(cheesy poses and themes, over lit and badly made-up subjects..) porn images... not simple nudes but full on hardcore stuff. I think as long as there's nothing that is legally questionable then there should be no issue. Of course, have a conversation with your lab and make it clear what you'll be having them process. Also, you should probably be highly aware of what your subject will be doing in the photos - make sure you're comfortable with that as well!! Good luck. john mcduffie
Thank for the advice. I wasn't sure if I could approach my lab with this. I'll give it a shot. I know everybody pretty well at my lab, but it's still on a professional level. So i didn't want to impose. Thank again.
