Scanning negative...

Hi

I have canon 620 camera and use HP 4850 Scanner for scanning my

negative

 

i have som problem with scanning negative, that after scan

i see the noise in all of my scan file,and i do'n know how can i fix

this problem

Better scanner. Flatbed scanners are just toys for 35mm film, you will need a film scanner. The noise in the highlights are the densest areas of the negative, and your scanner doesn't have the sensitivity to render dense areas without noise.

 

It's mostly a Nikon CoolScan monopoly now, with the exit of Konica/Minolta from the market.

 

There is also Noise Ninja, but it's silly to use that against scanner noise, rather than real film grain...

Digital ICE is a method of dust removal that uses infrared light. From your question, Ali, I gather that it is not available on your scanner. There are software methods of removing dust, but I cannot make any specific recommendations on them. Probably a search of the photo.net archives will produce some results.
