pensacolaphoto
I have posted a few photos from my recent Japan trip. I used a Microtec flatbed scanner to scan the photos without modifications. I know, some will say, you should have .... I hope you like some of the photos. I used mainly a Canon P with a Voightlaender 25/4 Snapshot Skopar and a Canon 35mm/1.8 lens and a Minox 35GT with the 35mm/2.8 lens. Film used was Fujicolor 100.
Here is one of the shots taken in the Metro.

My folder can be reached at
http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=513644
Feedback certainly is appreciated. ben conover
Hi Raid, great to see the results, very inspiring since I love travelling on trains. In the light of the terrible shooting of a Brazillian man in London tube, I am glad to see the Japanese way. Peace.

mattalofs
Looks like you had a fun trip. I think the metro shots are the most succesful. Weren't you taking a trip to Japan that involved you teaching photography to some exchange students? Was this that trip?
pensacolaphoto
Matt,
Yes, this was the trip. The metro shots were taken during my daily trips downtown to meet with my students.
frederick_muller
Raid, the Golden Palace and Nagoya look like great places to visit. What do you know ... Japan has it's own Eiffel Tower? :-) Did you bring your whoe M3 kit with you?
pensacolaphoto
Frederick,
I took only the Canon P, Minox GT, Olympus XA, and the Rolleiflex TLR [which was used only during one week]. The XA and the Gt were my pocket cameras. I had with me the 25/4 Skopar, and Canon 35/1.8 and 85/1.9, plus a Nikkor 50/2. The reason for not taking my mintish M stuff wa stha fact that we were there during the rain season. I did not want to expose the M lenses to daily rain. pensacolaphoto
Alex,
Yes, some photos are of Nagoya. I found it a very livable city in Japan. There is space to breathe and you still get your Matsuzakaya and all that exclusive stuff. Tokyo was too big for us as a family. We preferred Kobe. A very nice place to live in.
