discpad
Sounds like Foma Classic Pan: Be VERY careful when you load your reels and handle it, especially when wet: The emulsion is VERY soft, and will scratch VERY easily. My advice is to leave it on the reel until it is dry; then take it off the reel. What you'll need to do is use a hardening fixer; but that then entails using a hypo wash to remove the thiosulfates, else you'll need a 30 minute wash to get all the crap out. ted_chambers
I believe it's Forte, not Foma. No doubt you've noticed that the "classicfilm.de" URL comes up "Access forbidden". But it is, as noted above, the J&C film, and the technical information is available at the J&C URL given above. I can't speak to the Foma films, which I haven't used, but the Forte films don't seem unusually delicate to me.
pete_c__uk_
Classic Pan 400 and Classic Pan 200 are indeed rebadged Forte films made in Hungary. Forte often gets confused with Foma in the Czech Republic who also make B & W films. There is/was also a Classic Pan 100 which emanates from somewhere else, probably China.
