over exposure
Some days ago I went for a friend to a dance school where I was asked to take portraits of all the girls and group of dancers, and some dance shot too, for the use of archive of the school, and to check the effects before the final yearly show. While waiting between a multiflash shot and the other (kinda boring to me. I used to do it a lot of time ago..) I saw some natural scene, grabbed a Bessa and quickly made some istinctive shots. Here are a couple, but I wonder how many of you while working on some project, made something different and more personal on that subject, side by side... Cheers,<div></div>

maria_s.
I want to see these shots made with flash cause the ones you've shown here ain't that good (Ok, the composition on the first one is ok if standard). Shooting against the light ain't that hard but you have to find the right exposure and pull the film the right amount to get that nice blown highlights effect. And don't be mad, do some testing so you'll master the next candid moment.
over exposure
Thanks, what I searched was an high-contrast effect, in fact the (small) prints I did were made on a high-grade paper (5)..that can be the reason for those hard tones we see.
I like the first one a lot. It has such a warm feel. I would think if you had gotten closer this shot would be much better.
over exposure
yes, you're right...in fact this is the full frame vision..I'm working a lot on this totally istinctive and simple way of seeing and I'm (sometime) liking the results..it's like a freedom from details, just sensations..thank you all.
