j.a.
Hello everyone, I definitely have a problem with one of my films that I had been developped recently. Shortly, on the "index" board the pictures (vignettes) turned out normally, except the first six ones that had, everyone, a kind of perfectly vertical almost white and red marks (it's like a very thin cloth) only on the left side of each photo. The colours and the film exposure were ok, the pictures are not blurred and the sequence frame count is normal. As usually, I looked at the negative : apparently it was well developped and my photographic service wasn't to blame. On the film, these vertical marks appear like regular vertical dark bulky lines on the same six frames. My question is : how these marks have been produced on my film ? I have attached some photos. Thank you.

randall ellis
It looks like a light leak to me, since it goes in to the rebate/vignette area of the film. I would check the light seals of your camera to see if they are beginning to turn sticky. Replacing light seals is easy and you can do it yourself for a small amount of money if that is the problem. I've had a number of older cameras that has this problem and replacing the light seals fixed it every time. - Randy

bueh
Yes, it's definitively a light leak. Duct tape is your friend.
gene_e._mccluney
The most likely culprit is that you accidentally partially opened the back of your camera before rewinding the film. McCluney Photo
