ron c sunshine coast, qld,a
I've read many times that the consumer DSLR's only count to 9999 before resetting (and even then only if you have it set to 'file numbering continuous'.
I've also heard that even canon can't tell how many shots a body has taken but i'm not sure if that is official or not.
One odd thing i've noticed is that when my 300D went past 10000 images taken,it completely changed the naming system on the computer .The first images i took were numbered (for example) 101_0143 (143rd shot taken) while the current images are named like IMG_8947 (18947th shot taken)
Do the consumer DSLR's have a seudo ten thousand counter after all?
To confuse the issue further i must tell you that somewhere around the ten thousand mark i updated zoombrowser to a newer version which may very likley have had an effect on the naming system.I'm curious what others have found with their cameras
