jesaroj
I have been wanting a wide-angle lens for my Bronica SQ-Ai for a fewmonths, but they are out of my price range! While searching Ebay, Ifound a 50mm "Super Komura for Bronica" lens. I have asked the sellerif it will work with my body, but it is through Adorama and it hasbeen my experience that they are not very likely to respond. Does anyone here know whether the 2 are compatable? Should I callAdorama and talk to someone in person? I know the Komura would be one of the lower end lenses but as I statedearlier I can't afford more and I'm willing to work with anyquirkiness of the lens - unless there are any explicit reasons why itwould be a bad purchase. The price I'd be paying is $79 plus $15shipping. Thanks!Jessica
Gary Naka
Call them up on the phone. I've been able to get answers that way vs a low response rate on email. Gary
brian_schall
Jessica My guess is the Komura lens was made for the Bronica S or S2 series. There were Nikon lenses and 3rd party lenses made for that series, which predates the SQ series. They are not compatable with the SQ series. I own a SQa and have never seen any lens except for the Bronica that fits it. Bronica lenses are much cheaper now than what I paid for some just 5 years ago. The 40S that cost $900 used 5 years ago now can had for $300-400. Bronicas are bargain priced right now.
