HELP ASAP!!! Kodak EasyShare vs. Sony dsc-w7!!!! HELP ASAP!!!

Recommended Posts

HELP!!! I just purchased a Sony dsc-w7 digital camera. It has 7mp and

a 3x optical zoom. It seems hard to use and the editing software

doesn't seem that great to me. I have had a kodak easy share in the

past. I was wondering if the kodak easyshare z740 or the easyshare

z7590 would be a better choice? They both only have 5mp, but have 10x

optical zoom and I am sure the software is easier to use. So do I go

with the smaller sony 7mp camera with less zoom or go with a kodak

5mp camera with more zoom. Is there any advantage to a 7mp camera vs.

5mp if I won't be enlarging more than a 20x30" picture. I need to

make this decision in the next 2 days or I can't return the sony

camera. HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Since when? Well the F717 and the F828 are very good cameras not point and shoot but really good cameras.

The DSC-w1 is one of the best 5MP point and shoot cameras, very quick in shuter lag and focus, go to dpreview otherwise, the DSC-W7 has not got so good reviews as the DSC-w1. I would change the DSC-w7 for the w1 or w12 (is the black one, I think is called w12).i do not know about the SW, but do you need it?.

I realize this answer comes along pretty late, but I absolutely LOVE my SONY DSC-W7. Mine is in black and it's the third digital I've owned - the other two having been an 1.2MP and then a 3.5MP Olympus. I was first persuaded by the nice feel and results I'd seen from my daughter's DSC-W1, and opted for the later and current version. I've beat the Hell out of it, often on trips carrying it alone without a case in my pocket, and I would get another one in a heartbeat.

In fact, I am thinking about getting another one in case this one ever gives up the ghost.
