errol
Just did a test shoot with the 1970 lens on my D70. Manual, of course. Had the F stop ring shaved down so as to not hit the max F stop lever. I think the Bokeh is perfect. but that is just my opinion. It is still solid, sharp and renders a portriat beautifully. I think I will start using it again. There is one for $150 CND on ebay but I have seen it for 1/2 that. errol<div></div>
anthony_bez
Errol, The out of focus background looks far from perfect on my LCD. It is harsh and distracting, unlike the smooth effect you achieve with the 85mm f1.4 D. But there is a price to pay for that look.
errol
Anthony, You are right. It is probably the 511px size. The origional looks better. Errol
alan_wilder1
The bokeh looks fine to me. Not at all harsh.
anthony_bez
Errol, I thought the original image may have looked better, hence the comment "on my monitor". I totally agree you get a lot of value for your investment cost. Cheers
