fred_monsone
I have an Ilford Delta 400 and an Ilford HP5 which I want to dev in Promicrol. The time is 11 minutes for both. Can I put them in the same developing canister and dev them together? Or would this damage the negs? Thanks.
john_shriver
No problem at all. Big labs connect rolls head-to-toe and run them through the machine together.

al_kaplan1
The "new generation" films like Kodak T-Max and Ilford Delta require a longer fixing time than traditional films such as Tri-X and HP5. Make sure you fix long enough for the Delta 400. The extra few minutes in the fixer won't hurt the HP5.
colin jackson
I sometimes do tri-x and delta 100 at the same time in D76 1:1 for 9 3/4 min. which is about 2 min. less than ilford recommends but keeps the highlights under control. Works out about right except when I need more range from the delta when I use DDX.
joe_s7
"Marko Kovacevic, May 20, 2006; 10:16 a.m. i do it all the time tmax100,trix and ilford delta 3200 in the same one" Could be another reason your results are so bad, besides the fact you don't know how to set water temp. rich815
I do all the time. Just finished souping some Acros and Delta 100 together in D-76 1-1 for 10.5 minutes. Both look great.
johndc
The only problem I've ever had with mixing films is that sometimes the pink from certain Kodak films will stain the base of other films. However, a little extra washing will solve this problem. If you use a hardening fixer you may want to give a 5-10 minute wash between stop and fix to clear out the pink first.
