marknagel
OK I couldn't help myself. I made a few improvments and went out and bought a MT-24ex. I found the Bogen HD Flex Arms work better for EX flashes and using the full 24" arm. They are extremely stable, but they are a bit heavier. This setup give you more flexibility for positioning the flashes farther out, the price is about 1 pound more. The smaller arms work fine but need to be limited to about 14"-16". marknagel
I found the smaller one is absolutely perfect for the Mt-24ex. Mark<div></div>
johnson_d.
I like it. Now, how do I buy one?
geoffm
For what it's worth, while we're talking about home-made flash brackets, I thought I might as well show you mine. It's nowhere near as elegant as yours Mark, as it is designed for macro on a shoestring with a single 430EX, but it does work pretty well, and cost almost nothing to make.<div></div>
marknagel
I can not solicite on this site, but my other post has the parts list and instructions if you want to build it yourself. The base will need to be fabricated (I used a metal bandsaw and welder, but a plasma cutter would be dandy!) I'm selling the extra one I made on Ebay. If your in Minneapolis area and have a cooler with beverages, I'm sure you could talk me into sparkin up the welder. m
lester_wareham
Nice bracket, this is the flexibility of the MT-24EX, you can use your own one or the supplied one.

gwegowee
Nice design.. I built a similar one some time ago. except used a solid copper wire for the arms, tho it gets stronger the more I use it and begins to bend only in specific spots, and I used screws to mount my Flash heads... So now I'm building a new one with goose necks and, I would Really like to get the hot shoe mounts, it would be much easier! where did you get yours?<div></div>
marknagel
I was able to find everything at BH (minus welding stuff) m
