frank_bunnik
Hi, does anyone know if each Hasselblad prism (especially the older ons like the nc-2) fit the SWC groundglass (new type)? I know there is a RMX finder but a Kiev copy of the NC 2 costs about 1/3 or less, new, compared to the RMX. Thanks for your help, Frank

pico_digoliardi
They all fit. I use three different finders with the special SWC rear ground glass. Enjoy!
marek_fogiel
Frank, I have tried various ways uf using the ground glass, and surely the best way is through the RMFX finder, as it gives you ample frame coverage and an upright view, although it forces you to remove the SWC viewfinder while you do it, else you end up banging your forehead against it... (there is an RMFX on sale on ebay out of sweden now). The second best tool (and cheaper too), is the chimney viewfinder, which gives you an inverted image, but still offers a fairly "natural" and ample view of the frame. The conventional prisms are, in my opinion, inadequate, as they are both awkward to use and present a rather innatural looking upside down image, so at best they can be used for the sake of precise focussing, but not for framing the image. ulrik
The best combination I have yet used is a newer type SWC groundglass with Acute Matte screen + the RMfx finder. But anything else will also work somehow. Ulrik
nik4s
I originally used a nc-2 prism with the groundglass on swc, and hated it so I find a rmfx finder from robert white in england and had it shipped to me here in the states, and boy was it worth it and bought it for a good price.
