gannet
I'm thinking of getting a used DV camcorder and mounting it to myglider. I might not be able to access it in flight. My question iscan these things be turned on and locked for extended periods withoutuser input? Flight time could be anywhere from 30 minutes to over anhour. B&H has a couple Canon ZR-85 in my price range. Any ideas orsuggestions. I know absolutely nothing about video...yet. ThanksThomas
emre
Gliding...wow! Yes, they can be left on for over an hour...maybe upto four. The trick is not to use the LCD display. I am guessing weight is your primary concern, so a Canon should be fine.
john_andrews2
Having flown in small aircraft before you may have a problem with vibrations. I'm not sure if the image stablizer system could handle this. Good luck. John
frank granovski
The new Canon Opture 50 and 60 have OIS instead of the "electric" kind found on the ZRs. Something to consider for what you want to do.
