meisaki
A non-profit arts organization has some exhibits comming up that I would like to submit my work for. The tools of the trade I normally use are my Nikon N50 lenses Nikon 28mm,AF Nikor 35-80 D, Sigma 70-300 DL and my Digital Brownie Olympus C4000. As far as film usually Fuji X-TRA (400). The projects are basically outdoor still-life Macros shot in natural light 3pm. The project shot with the Olympus is of course available for submission as J-PEGs/TIFFs. For entry Slides are requested so should I reshoot the project, try reproducing from the prints onto slide film or is Cross-Processing an option? In my case budget is everything so I am looking for the most ecconomic solution. Thank You for taking the time to read this post.
roger_smith4
For maximum quality I believe you need to reshoot- this is also the most economical method. Cross-processing is too late if your film is developed and have you ever seen cross-processed film? The colors will not be natural... There are services to go from digital to slides (search the archives) but if you really want to best quality shoot slides to begin with.
john_shriver
Dale Labs will print your negatives on Eastman color release print stock. (Best film still available for this purpose.) You will lose some sharpness, you will have some issues with the dynamic range. But the price isn't bad, $2.50 each with a minimum order of 5 units.
