Please comment on marketability and suggest pricing

Hi:

 

I am about to do my first show at a local cafe and I would like to ask you for

your comments regarding how marketable my photos are and what would you sell

them for (assuming 11x14 or 12x12 size, digital prints). I shoot film (MF,

4x5LF and 35mm), print digitally.

The marketability and pricing of your work will depend heavily on the type of cafe and its location. The shots are technically OK, but there's a sameness that runs through most of them; a "glamor" model shot head on, and this could get a bit tiresome....in MY view.

Let me preface this by saying that I now nothing about selling photographic art images, however, I don't see what appeal these images would have to a potential buyer. The images are fantastic, as fashion or editorial work, but IMHO, not so much as saleable art.

 

Produce the same images with some well known celebrities, actors, models, etc etc, and then it might be a different story.

I agree with above comments. Your work is stunning, however, I don;t think anyone would

buy these but the idea of people hiring you to make lovely images as these are, would be

grand. Also, call your local modeling agencies - you have a great eye and a love for fashion

photography which shows tremendously here.
