michael_darnton1
If a composite image qualifies, doesn't the Terrserver whip its butt? So large you have to stand on the moon to see the image, and it can't be displayed all in one piece. :-)
Troll
I like Vermeer's "View of Delft" better. (No Pixels.)
norm_h
@Bill: outstanding answer The BBC itself posted a follow-up to their story, discussing who got the most, best, biggest, brightest pixels. paul_sokal___dallas__tx
If you were going to make such a large, important picture, why this subject? Why not something more attractive or interesting?

crashdog
Woo hoo! I located one of the seams in the upper left corner. You can see 3/4 of the front tire of a bicycle, but nothing but open road where the rest of the bike should be. I know, it's petty, and I don't think I could ever duplicate this kind of a shot. I don't have the patience. Pretty detailed though. It would have been more impressive if it were of a mountain landscape, imo.
