<p>I recently inherited some Leica R gear, among that are an R6 and an R8 body. Now, I'm aware that at some point in the past one or maybe even both of these bodies had some sort of issue (but I don't know exactly what that was). Without putting any film through it, mechanically everything seems to be working fine and the exposure meter also does its job (not sure, if accurately, though). Although, the last pictures that were taken with - I believe - the R8, occasionally have a narrow, dark, semi-transparent strip at the edge of the frame (maybe some shutter issue?).<br> <br />Since I want to sell these two bodies, I would like to have them checked out or fixed beforehand. While there are some people doing work on M Leicas, I wasn't able to find anyone servicing R Leicas. Is there anyone out there? If I list these 'as is', I'm going to take quite a hit on the price. But would evaluating/servicing them be worth it? I'm not quite sure, what would be the best way to handle this (there's some stuff I'm keeping, but I don't want to hang on to these two bodies).</p>
