As far as I know, this is true for everything except Metol/Elon and Hydroquinone. These are proprietary chemicals, and are only manufactured by Kodak and Ilford (If I'm wrong, please let me know what common substitutes are available).

Metol and Elon along with a bunch of names (LIon, Genol, Graphol, Photo-Rex, Pictol, Planetol, Rhodol, Satrapol, Scalol, Verol, Viterol) are trade names for reagents characterised by the following compounds:

Monomethyl-p-aminophenol sulfate
ji-hydroxymethylaniline sulfate
4-methylaminophenol sulfate

These are not specific to EK or Ilford. Hydroquinone can also be found as:

Hydrochinon
Hydrokinone
Hydroquinol
Quinol
p-dihydroxybenzene
1,4-dihydroxybenzene
1,4-benzenediol
Tecquinol

Another often used reagent is Phenidone or Graphidone to represent the compound l-Phenyl-3-pyrazolidinone. This is used in developers such as approximations of Xtol stock solution.

750ml distilled water
60gm Sodium Sulfite
4gm Sodium Metaborate
13gm Sodium Ascorbate
0.15gm Phenidone
3gm Sodium Metabisulfate
add distilled water to make 1 ltr
