d_price
I'm trying to avoid having to purchase online and wait for my film. Otherwise, is B&H the dominant favorite for online purchasing?
andre_noble4
Freestyle at Sunset and Normandie
terry_m1
Yes, indeed....Freestyle in Hollywood, as above. They are open 7 days a week. Go to their website, freestylecamera.com, to determine the hours. I buy all my darkroom chemicals and printing paper as well as film from them. They are super to deal with! danny_liao
Film at Freestyle is not that much cheaper. Plus, they tend to sell film that's close to it's expiration date. I've order film from B&H before and never had a problem with it. But beware that when ordering film from them during the summer season, by the time film gets to your door steps, it'll be warm from the heat and sitting in the delivery truck. d_price
Thanks, I guess I can cruise through the phonebook too and find some places but I'd rather go somewhere by word of mouth. I made a list of the films I want and Freestyle has them all. I'll definately check them out and begin dealing with them on a regular basis, unless you guys have some other recommendations. majid
Samy's Camera is every bit as good as B&H.
cooper8168
What Fazal said - I buy local film at one of the Samy's locations, usually Pasadena or the store on Fairfax. B&H price is a little better, but I never figured it with shipping. It may be a wash.
cindy_h.
Samy's is the closest thing LA has to B&H. The Fairfax store is the biggest location, with multiple floors. www.samys.com
d_price
I just got back from Samys and got a good deal on film. I picked up a list of about 8 different rolls for about $50. Including Kodachrome 64. Thanks for heading me in the right direction, I had completely forgotten about Samys.
