chris_patti1
After years of doing only B&W, I decided to use color neg film during my recent vacation. I brought back 32 rolls and was disconcerted to find my local lab charging $6 per for processing only. A Google search turned up the following labs advertising significantly lower prices for C-41 processing of 120 rolls: *Chrome (San Diego) $4.20/roll *Warehouse Photographic (Carrollton, Tex.) $3.49/roll ($4.49 w/ a thumbnail index) *Precision Camera (Austin, Tex) $3.25/roll Does anyone have any experience with any of these labs? Any good, inexpensive alternatives?
adam_collier
I used to live in austin, had no real problems with Precision Camera, worked at a different lab than it, so did not need to goto that place often, aside from when I first moved here. I have found much to my surprise a local lab here that only charges $2.98 thats after tax for D/O. I will see if they take orders or if your intrested in their information email me. Thanks. michael_linn
Find a Wal-Mart you can trust. I did. It's $1.76 a roll. I use them every week.
joey
Find a Wal-Mart you can trust.

Let the world know if you do!

My lab is under $4 for C-41 process only (36 exp. 35mm or 1 120). $6 is a little high, especially with no prints. Most good pro labs should not charge more than $5 for developing a roll of C-41.
chris_patti1
Adam, I'd be interested in the contact info. on the local lab you mention. For reasons I won't bore everyone with, Walmart is not an option for me.
josphy
I live in Austin. I had Precision Camera process a roll of 120 c41 film for me one time, and one of the best negatives came back with nasty scratches. I haven't gone back there. Other people might have a different opinion of that place.
bacsa
Weird. So far I thought in Eurpoe everything is more expensive. Here(the netherlands) I haven't seen a lab that charges more than 4 euro's per roll of C-41, be it 135 or 120 format.

robert_martin5
BWC Imaging charges $2.80 per roll for C-41 processing of 120 film. I use them to do my processing and they do an excellent job. http://www.bwc.net/main.php?page=services
