Photo critique question

Hello all. I have a quick question about alerts on some of my photo. I

have 7 photos from which I requested an alert each time I get a

comment. Each time I get a comment, I get two email notifying me. I

guess it is because I have a " @photo.net " email forwarding to my

@yahoo.com email.

Also, what is weird is that I just got the following message:

======================================================================

From: photocritique-alert@photo.net

Subject: All free photocritique alerts used up

Date: Sun, 13 Jun 2004 08:05:41 GMT

This message is to notify you that you have used up all your free

email alerts. You can subscribe for more at

http://www.photo.net/gallery/photocritique/add-alert

======================================================================

Why would I receive this message if I'm a suscriber? I was beleiving

that I had illimited email alerts...

Thanks for your help and sorry if this has been posted before. I

searched the archive but found nothing on this issues.

Hi Stephane, thanks for reporting this problem. I'll look into it. The "paid" and "free" photocritique alerts are sent out in two separate runs. My guess is that you are getting two copies of each alert because the "paid" run correctly recognizes you as a subscriber and considers your alerts paid. But for some reason the "free" alerts run doesn't recognize you as a subscriber and sees your alerts as "free". So the "free" run sends you the same alert again, plus the maxout message.

Thank Brian. If this can help, I received two emails for each alerts since I'm a suscriber but yesterday was the first time I received the "maximum alerts used" message. The thing is that I didn't asked for new alerts in a couple of weeks.
