wolfgang_gressmann
I apologize if this question has been answered sufficiently before and thank you in advance for a quick hint (times for 20 degrees Celsius). Alternatively, I have D-76 at hand. Which one would you prefer?
marc_leest1
Use D-76 and save the microphen for push development, not pull development.
hans_beckert
Shooting T-Max 3200 at 1600 is not 'pull development'. The true speed of this film is about 800-1200 (depending on the developer), and Microphen is a better match than D-76 if maximum pure speed is desired. lex_jenkins
I also think you'll see better results from Delta 3200 in Microphen at any EI. The Massive Development Chart recommends 8 minutes at 20°C for EI 1600 in undiluted Microphen stock solution and in my experience that's a good starting point. You'll have to make adjustments for yourself, naturally, based on your metering habits, light conditions, etc. I've tried the film in ID-11 (Ilford's D-76 equivalent) and didn't care much for the results.
