Internegative/positive help

I need a little help with making internegatives and I can't seem to

find what I'm looking for... I'm sure it's out there so a link may be

all I need.

 

I want to make contact interpositives of 8x10 film. In my application

the image I want is already present in the existing negative, but I

want a way to make contact prints from it. Here is what I plan to do -

please let me know if you spot problems: Contact print a film positive

by putting the emulsion side from the existing 8x10 neg to the

emulsion side to same size sheet film. Expose very lightly! What I am

unsure about is whether a regular enlarger can be used for this

without neutral density filters and what have you. Is special

equipment used for the exposure?

I've used enlargers for this very thing, but you may have to raise it up quite high and/or stop down the lens, depending on its brightness. It's just common sense.

Fair enough. I'm just trying to avoid burning through too much film and time just getting an exposure somewhere near the proverbial ballpark.
