park_trot Posted February 8, 2013 Share Posted February 8, 2013
A year or so ago I saw an add on one of the big photography blogs (not this site) for a template/hosting solution for photography themed websites. I had no need at the time and did not bother to bookmark it. Basically what I am looking for is VERY non-traditional website themes. IE lots of Flash, full bleed photos, minimal text crazy splash screens etc.... Yes I know you can hire a web designer to do something custom for you. This is the closest thing I have found (it's not perfect) http://frontrow-demo.squarespace.com/

Thanks in advance!
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Charles_Webster Posted February 8, 2013 Share Posted February 8, 2013
I use the Expression Engine CMS for my www.guitarphotography.com website. It's easy to use and very reliable. However it requires some knowledge of EE code to build the page templates.

A CMS (content management system) makes maintaining a site much easier, but you are either limited to their page design/template or you have to design your own.

<Chas>

Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

grizzly1 Posted May 22, 2013 Share Posted May 22, 2013
You can use Wordpress with a theme from ThemeForest. They have some crazy themes that are really sharp and easy to setup (2 days of tinkering).
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
