You are invited to upload one or more of your landscape photos and, if you’d like, to accompany your image with some commentary: challenges you faced in making the image? your intent for the image? settings? post-processing decisions? why you did what you did? the place and time? or an aspect you’d like feedback on? And please feel free to ask questions of others who have posted images or to join the discussion. If you don’t feel like using words, that’s OK too—unaccompanied images (or unaccompanied words, for that matter) are also very much welcomed. As for the technicalities, the usual forum guidelines apply: files < 1 MB; image size <1000 px maximum dimension.

Happy New Year to all!

A challenging post this week, due to the fact that I've got a terrified 42-pound Australian Shepherd on my lap who REALLY doesn't like New Year's fireworks.

Anyway, this is the view that greeted me when I opened the blinds at sunrise three days ago--let's hope its a good sign for the coming year!D06-_MG_4198-Pano-Edit-Edit.jpg.e3af1e1667bae818bc4a7991d9eadb72.jpg

Leslie, how I wish I could wake up to glory such as this.

Erik, I'm compelled to ask, "Where do you live that affords such a glorious view?"

I live 100 meters from the Hon Chong Beach in Nha Trang, Vietnam, but unfortunately, they have build 3 hotels in front of me, so 75% of my view has gone In future I have to dress to get photos like this, but then I have to sit on the beach in the mornings, as such light only last very short.

Sorry about the obstructions, Erik. By any chance, are you one of many Viet Nam veterans who decided to establish residence there?
