alwin_lai
Hi, Just wondering what are your thoughts on including a small watermark on low-res images (web use) that will be given to clients?
I am including low-res images as part of my photo package.
The high-res for prints will not have watermark of course since this is a separate product item.
Charles_Webster
If a client pays for an image, I do not watermark the image, large or small, high rez or low. If it's a TFCD trade, the images are all watermarked.

I feel that if they are paying money for your service, they should not have to do your advertising for you.

I always include a license agreement that stipulates what they can and cannot do with the images, so I'm not too concerned about misappropriation.

<Chas>
funcrunch
Agreed with Charles. If the images are paid for, no watermarks, and the license spells out what they can and can't do with the images.
alwin_lai
OK got it. Makes perfect sense. I do and always include T&A on all deliverable.
976photo
I would agree with Charles. Right now all of my work has been TFCD so I do include a watermark on the web-sized files. Nothing on the full-size files however. They also get a license agreement from me as well.

If it were a paying client, I don't think I would include one (watermark) on the web-sized files.
dan_south
The only watermarks I have ever put on a client's images have been the clients' company names when they've requested it.
