boris_riabov1
Hello,

I am writing a feature film where the lead character travels from New York (a city he's spent his whole life in) down to the South. I would love to look at photographs of any time period, film, digital, black & white, or color, of the American South: especially the East Coast: the Virginias, the Carolinas, Georgia, Oklahoma, even Texas, but mainly the Southeast.
Any recommendations of photography books or notable photographers of those areas. I am looking for landscapes and people/journalism photography, similar to Life photographs.
Thank You
Boris Riabov
bar300@nyu.edu

ray .
I have a few photos I still need to add to that set to complete it. The parade is the 'Black Men's Labor Day Parade.' September 2002. If you're interested at all in New Orleans there is a fine book of portraits and street photos 'The Jazz People of New Orleans' by Lee Friedlander. Also Garry Winogrand 's 'The Fat Stock Show and Rodeo' photographed in Texas. First rate.
