I was so desperate and only on the night before the eclipse I finally figured out how to utilize the Cokin P filter system and the solar glasses on my DSLR and point-and-shoot cameras. I also made a smaller filter that was being held using a rubber band in front of my cell phone in hoping to video the eclipse. But the quality was so bad that I deleted it.
