This is the additional weekly image thread for the Nature Forum. While images posted to this thread should still be nature in theme, it may contain a small amount of human-made objects and therefore less restricted than the Monday in Nature threads. Each participant please post no more than just one image per weekly thread.

This week's kickoff image is of a Yellow Breasted Blackbird at the Bear River MBR, voraciously consuming mosquitoes from the thick cloud that was also busy consuming me. We love visiting the MBR, but at any other than deep winter one risks being desanguinated by clouds of flying beasts so thick one hardly dare breath. My images frequently appear out of focus due to the dense swarms of flying bugs. Looking forward to your contributions...
