Julio Fernandez
Marc, again thanks for posting these looks into the past. That Keppler column is outstanding. At the time I was in grade school, but already learning to take pictures, develop and print. It is interesting to see so many development directions for cameras at the time, especially in SLRs. CdS was displacing selenium meters. The 35mm automatic compacts were starting to appear, still mostly German made, while the Canon 7 with its monster 0.95 lens was coming to the U.S. market. Zeiss had a Contarex ad with the interchangeable backs that are tested in the issue. The increased emphasis on equipment and technique, when compared to the 1952 issue you posted before, is striking.
