david_matuszek
Hello every one I?d like to know peoples experiences with JandC films and PMK. On the J and C photo website they don?t say what ASA to expose the film at. If you have used any of the J and C films with PMK I?d like to know what speed you exposed the film at, developing time, and temperature. The price is right for the film, and I have had good luck with their other products. Thank you for your time
david_goldfarb
For J&C 400 in PMK (1+2+100) try EI 200, 14 min. at 68 deg. F using tray development.
If you're contact printing on Azo, though, I'd recommend using ABC pyro (1+1+1+7), 12 min. at 68 deg., since you don't really need the grain masking advantage of PMK, and I find that ABC gives a sharper looking result with more contrast and better tonal separation in general. Here are a couple of 5x7's I've done recently in ABC:

david_goldfarb
P.S.--if you are tray processing, handle the film carefully. It is much more prone to scratching than Kodak or Ilford films.
