Film Camera Week for December 28

Recommended Posts

Greetings all, and welcome to our new thread. This is the place to post all the images you want from any film camera. I'll start with some Tri-X images that I developed and scanned recently.

while it doesn't focus into macro range, it's close enough to be useful most uses

35mm perspective is useful for many situations

Looking forward to seeing everyone's images

Playing around with the Sabattier effect while printing. These have been tweaked in software to improve the contrast (which I posted about here: Whiter whites with Sabattier effect)

First and last image taken with a Nikon F2 Photomic, Nikkor-S Auto 50mm f/1.4, Ilford FP4+ 125. The second image, the same camera and film but with a Micro-Nikkor 55mm f/2.8. In the 2nd and 3rd image i used a +5 Kodak Polymax filter with Ilford Multigrade IV paper. This helped the contrast but I still needed to adjust further in software:

Haven't really shot any film over the last week. Been cleaning another Contax I I bought just before Christmas.

Here's one from the local old timer day, this last August. Leica M3 with 5cm f/3.5 Elmar.

Great photo. Just acquired mint Leica IIIf with Elmar 5cm 3.5, fine lens. Today I received Elmar 9cm 1:4. Will try it this weekend.

Nothing wrong with the 5cm f/3.5. They only recalculated the design once new glass types became available after the war. I have several coated and uncoated samples.

I love the 9cm f/4 as a portrait lens. It's really very underrated, though people have complained about the long focus throw.

I finally managed to shake off the shackles of the festive season and escape with a camera, for the first time in over a week. The camera in question was a Bronica ETRs with the 150mm Zenzanon MC f/3.5 lens, and the film was Ilford HP5 developed in PMK Pyro.
