Mike Gammill
From the Konica C35 V. One of my last rolls of Plus-X from a bulk roll that expired in 2012. Dark morning sky Hardware store window dark parking lot, sun illuminated smoke The C35 V was a lower priced version of the Konica C35. Missing from the V is the self timer, rangefinder, and automatic flash (guide number). One advantage, though, on the V you could set for flash and manually select apertures, although and a single shutter speed of 1/25 second.
Don Harpold
Hello Here are a few from the Retina IIIc using Bergger Pancro 400 shot at 200 and developed normal in HC110 dil. B This came out more contrasty than expected, I tried to back off the contrast but... Could it be HC110 is not quite right for this stock or maybe 200 is not the speed? I will do more later
rick_drawbridge
Over in the "What camera are you using this weekend?" thread, Mike Gammill admired the Praktica BC1 outfit I featured and said: Very nice outfit, Rick. I look forward to seeing some images. Well, I'm happy to oblige, having put the camera and a selection of lenses through their paces over the last couple of days. It's a sensible, practical and sturdy camera that performed flawlessly, and I thoroughly enjoyed using it. The film was Arista EDU Ultra 200 developed in PMK Pyro. Pentacon supplied the prime lenses for the "B" series, mainly revamped versions of the older M42 lenses used throughout the Praktica range. The Pentacon PB zoom lenses have rather mysterious origins, but most sources agree that they were manufactured by Sigma, Cosina and Cimko in Japan, and Samyang in Korea. There were two quite different versions of the 70-210mm f/3.5-4.5 lens, one allegedly made by Sigma (f/4.5) and the other by Samyang (f/4-5.6); I have both and they are very good lenses. I also used the 35-75mm f/3.5-4.5 zoom, most likely a Samyang lens, likewise an excellent performer. The 28mm f/2.8 lens is the original Pentacon construction. I'll note beside the images the lens used. Ready and Waiting (35-70) Window (Sigma 70-210) Detail #3 (35-70) Conga (Samyang 70-210) Oxford Pies (28mm) The Day Begins (70-210 Sigma) Entrance (28mm)
